Music is a part of our everyday lives. While this is true, it is also true there are some people who appreciate music more than others.
Music is a form of entertainment for some, and comfort for others. It is like an escape from reality. Some people find this an escape because of the peace the sound brings. Personally, I find an escape in the lyrics.
There is so much more meaning behind songs when you really listen to the lyrics. This is a pastime I enjoy doing, finding a deeper meaning.
Music being a daily form of entertainment we experience, you could hear a song and automatically want to know what the title of the song is in order to relisten to it. Other songs will stick out to you more than others, which is why everyone has a favorite genre of music. Once you recognize a pattern of songs under the same genre you enjoy, you know that is the one for you.
Most artists will put a deep meaning behind what they write. It is highly likely these deeper meanings are universal experiences or something a larger group can relate to. Having one relate to something makes them enjoy it more. This is artists’ way of selling more of their music, while also being heard and finding comfort in other people relating.
97% of students say music is a tool they use for improving their mental health. Music has been proven to relieve stress. Still, some people may not find comfort in music like others do. There are things for everyone, and music may not be someone’s thing.
